GUITARS and TV's

Aidan's latest thing is that he wants to learn how to play guitar. Seeing that I do, I guess he wants to be just like his old man... (minus the male-patterned baldness....).

Problem is, I don't know how to teach him. I never took guitar lessons. I picked it up on my own. I taught myself. I used to spend 2 to 4 hours a day practicing. *(I should be WAY better for the amount of time I put in on that thing!)

So, here is Aidan just absorbing ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I'm showing him. Cute as a button to see him wanting to play this thing.

I really hope he sticks with it. I'd love to have someone to "jam" with. :) He is also showing interest in the piano. (That I may be able to assist with....) Piano just seems a bit more "methodical" than the guitar. Guitars are chords... Piano is notes. ??

If the GUITAR GODS and the RITE OF PASSAGE descend upon Aidan, he should be able to play "Stairway To Heaven" by next week!

Emma on the other hand (with her creativity sky high as usual) has created a TV Station from an old moving box we had in the garage. She cut out the bottom to act as the "screen" and the frame of the box is the frame of the tv.

Daily, she puts on TV shows, or stage reenactments of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Her imagination is her only limit these days, and that allows her to show off her creativity in new ways day by day. She cracks me up with her animated antics. She "goes into character" for certain things and uses funny voices for certain figures/characters. Quite the show to behold.

So there you have it. Some new pics of the kids with a short blurb letting you know what they're up to....
