SLOWING DOWN...
The weather has turned. No longer are the days nice and warm. The sun is going down early and the dark evenings usher in the cold temps that hover in the early a.m. hours that make it difficult to psyche oneself up to do a morning ride.
What a difference a year makes. I was gung-ho about training and riding and reaching my 1,000 miles. I did it. I trained for the 24 Hours of Booty ride. I did it. Rode 201.92 miles in one day.
Right now there's nothing to train for. Nothing on the horizon. I miss riding, but the cold weather makes it easier NOT to miss the rides as much.
November is upon us, and unless we get some unusually warm weather to camp out here, I don't see a ton of miles being added to my odometer this month either.
Winter-time will see even less....
