TRAVELING THIS WEEK

I haven't traveled in a LONG time. I don't miss it. I'm not a big fan of airports, fast food, living out of a suit case, being in a different time zone, and being away from my family.

I'm glad I don't travel that much anymore. I used to be on the road about 10 days a month. This is my first trip in over a year, so I can't complain. Still not a fan though.

On a bright note, it is San Francisco. Neat area. Wouldn't live here if you GAVE me a house, but it's fun to visit.

EMMA'S NEW ROOM

We're swapping Emma's current room with the current Guest Bedroom. Although her NEW room will be smaller, I think she's actually looking forward to it.

I spent a good part of yesterday painting the new room the color of the old room. There is now a TON of "Lightly Lilac" upstairs here on the walls.

Tonight we move her furniture. She's excited for her new room.

Pics to come.

One Week with Cooper

We've had Cooper 1 week now. She's such a great dog. Very lovable. Very cute. Very much a puppy.

EVERYTHING is new to her. The falling leaves, the school bus, the trash cans getting dragged to the curb. All new adventures for her. Adorable.

Cooper has REALLY latched onto Aidan, and the same can be said about him latching to her. They are BEST friends.

Kelly had Cooper at the bus stop (as she does each day) in the afternoon waiting for the kids to get off the bus. As SOON as Cooper saw Aidan get off the bus, her tail started wagging 100 mph, and she crouched down with her two front legs in the "PLAY WITH ME" stance... Priceless to see.

She's been a great fit into the house. Very smooth transition. I'm kinda shocked how easy it's been. I guess previously having a dog has helped, but it just seems 10 times easier this go around.

Also, I'm amazed at how "UN-HENLEY" -like Cooper is. I loved Henley like there's no tomorrow, but the more time I spend with Cooper, the more I realize Henley was ONE CRAZY dog. :) (in a good way!) I miss Henley, but I love having an easy going, lovable dog that doesn't go APE-SHIT when the doorbell rings. :)

Can't wait for the family to meet her. :)

ONE MORE DAY

One more day til "Cooper" comes home for good.

We adopted a Shepherd/mix from the local animal shelter last Friday. She has to get spayed before they will allow us to take her home.

"Cooper" gets spayed tomorrow. Yay! We can take her home in the afternoon. The kids can not wait! They are busting at the seams to see her .

She's 6 months old. Very calm for a puppy. She's a sweetie.

I'd be lying if I said Kelly and I are also counting the hours til she comes home. :)

ONE MORE DAY!
